Groups allow you to easily see how you rank against other entries without having to search through the whole leaderboard. Anyone is welcome to join a "Public" group. "Private" groups are password protected and a great way to keep track of just your friends and co-workers.
So for instance say you work at Hi Line Ford and there is a pool going for people who work there. You might make a group called "HiLineFord" and then each person would join the group and the system would track the pool for them. In addition they would play all players for the main prizes as well. You can also join more than one group.
